A credit card center data protection project
Project Background
Personal sensitive information refers to: once the information is leaked, illegally provided or abused, it may endanger personal and property safety, and easily lead to personal reputation, physical and mental health damage or discriminatory treatment, including: biometric identification, religious belief, specific identity, medical health, financial accounts, whereabouts, etc. In order to protect customers' personal sensitive information, the bank credit card center upgrades the existing business system, increases sensitive information data protection measures, and reduces the risk of sensitive information leakage from the technical level.
Core Functions
FPE is a format-preserving data encryption method, which is commonly used in the field of data decryption and can effectively reduce the risk of sensitive information leakage. Different from the traditional encryption method, the encryption result of the FPE method retains the original data format. For example, the mobile phone is composed of 11 digits, and the encrypted result is still 11 digits, retaining the original format, but the data is no longer the original data. FPE as an effective means of encryption, its applications include financial information security, data cleaning and transparent encryption of fields in legacy databases, balancing confidentiality and availability.
